BHBP Partners with MCO to Strengthen LTSS Workforce Development
BHBP partnered with a managed care organization (MCO) to develop a workforce strategy for its LTSS RFP submission, focusing on recruitment, retention, and training of direct support professionals (DSPs).
To attract qualified DSPs, the plan includes targeted recruitment efforts, community outreach, and training partnerships. To improve retention, the plan includes mentorship programs, career advancement opportunities, and workforce wellness initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and reduce turnover.
By embedding this workforce development model into the MCO’s LTSS proposal, BHBP is helping to build a skilled, sustainable direct care workforce, improving job stability for DSPs and care quality for individuals relying on long-term support services.
