Mobile Learning Pilot: Job Training for New Moms
In partnership with several managed care organizations, BHBP and Work Ready Koncepts (WRK) has launched a mobile learning and job readiness program designed for new mothers who are homebound with childcare responsibilities. This initiative provides free access to essential career development resources to help them transition back into the workforce.
WRK provides participants a complimentary computer, filtered internet access for up to one year, and a comprehensive digital library filled with educational and career advancement materials. This ensures they can build skills, explore job opportunities, and prepare for their return to work without leaving home.
To support their progress, each participant is paired with a dedicated mentor who conducts weekly check-ins to provide guidance, encouragement, and personalized career advice. This structured support system helps new mothers stay on track and successfully navigate their professional reintegration.
By eliminating common barriers to workforce reentry, this initiative empowers new mothers with the skills, resources, and confidence needed to achieve long-term career success while balancing their new caregiving responsibilities.
